Arizona Has a Rising Wave of Coronavirus Cases

Respiratory disease puts people at higher risk of contracting COVID-19 so please:

  • When out in public, wear a cloth mask
  • Do not touch your face
  • Maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet when away from home
  • Wash your hands with hot water and soap for 20 seconds
  • If you are ill, stay home

These routine actions will protect you and others during this challenging time!

What's the State of YOUR Air?

The annual “State of the Air” report from the American Lung Association tracks Americans’ exposure to unhealthful levels of particle pollution and ozone. This year’s report found nearly half of all Americans were exposed to unhealthy air, and that climate change is creating conditions that will make it increasingly difficult to clean up the air we breathe. And amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact of air pollution on lung health is of heightened concern.

NCCA Accreditation

On May 5,2020, the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) granted accreditation to the National Asthma Educator Certification Board (NAECB®) Certified Asthma Educator (AE-C®) program for demonstrating compliance with the NCCA Standards for the Accreditation of Certification Programs. NCCA is the accrediting body of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence. The NCCA Standards were created in 1977 and updated in 2016 to ensure certification programs adhere to modern standards of practice for the certification industry. The NAECB® Certified Asthma Educator (AE-C®) program joins an elite group of more than 130 organizations representing over 315 programs that have received and maintained NCCA accreditation. More information on the NCCA is available online here.
